How to make the most out of your senior session

Your senior session is all about you. This is your moment, and we want to see your personality shine through your photos.

1. Communicate

Talk with your photographer and get to know each other. Before my senior sessions, I like to send out a questionnaire. This questionnaire helps me learn a little more about them that way I can best customize their session. I can learn about their style and hobbies. This ultimately helps me plan the best photo locations and I'm able to get a good idea of what my seniors are expecting from their photoshoot. When filling out your questionnaire, make sure you let your photographer know what you want out of your session.

2. Put Some Thought into your Outfits

When it comes to what you wear on the day of your session, you will want to make sure you feel confident and comfortable.

What do you usually wear? What is your go-to look? As mentioned before, this is your moment, and we want to see your personality shine through your photos. What you wear says a lot about you and your personality. Once your session is booked, I will send you an outfit style guide that can help you further decide on what you will wear at your photoshoot.

3. Bring Accessories and Props

Think of the things you like to do. What are your hobbies? What do you do for fun? Do you collect anything? Now bring some of those elements to your session.

Examples

  • Sunglasses

  • Books

  • Jewelry

  • Skateboard

  • Shoes

  • Instruments

  • Your car

Bringing accessories and/or props helps bring out your

personality in your photos. It also helps with getting creative with posing!
